A new executive family home near Mt Eden Village designed and constructed under the leadership of PJM. The brief was to create a timeless, quality, and sustainable house that would fit well within the Mt Eden landscape, with a modern bungalow design.

To ensure the project was completed within the set timeframe and budget, PJM was involved from the beginning of the project. PJM was able to add significant value through a fast-track design, procurement, and construction methodology. Value engineering was applied throughout the project to ensure that the design and construction met the client's requirements while also remaining cost-effective.

Sustainability was an important aspect of the project, and the team incorporated several sustainable features into the design. The house was constructed using eco-friendly materials, minimising the environmental impact of the project. The house was designed to maximise natural light and ventilation, reducing the need for artificial lighting and air conditioning. Energy-efficient appliances and smart lighting fixtures were installed throughout the home to further reduce energy consumption.

The house was built to a high specification, and the design incorporated several unique features. The home features an open-plan living area that flows seamlessly into the outdoor living spaces. The use of large windows and doors creates a connection between the interior and exterior, allowing natural light to flood the home. The kitchen is a focal point of the house, with high-quality fixtures and finishes, and an island bench that provides ample space for cooking and entertaining.

The bedrooms are generously sized and feature built-in wardrobes for additional storage. The bathrooms are designed with a modern and minimalist aesthetic, with high-quality fixtures and finishes. The 340m2 house also features a separate scullery and laundry room, providing additional storage and functionality.

The project delivered a timeless and high-quality family home that exceeded the client's expectations. The application of value engineering and sustainability principles throughout the project ensured that the home was built to a high specification while remaining cost-effective and environmentally friendly, highlighting the effectiveness of the project and construction management approach.
