Our Team

Paul Miller

As Founding Director and Project Delivery Lead of PJM, I have over 25 years’ experience leading commercial, residential, remediation, and multi-unit projects.

I specialise in setting projects up for success, establishing clear governance, delivery strategy, and execution methodology. I work across development management, Engineer-to-Contract, and contract management roles, with a strong emphasis on risk and commercial control.

My role is to help clients and teams navigate complexity, manage risk early, and make clear, well-informed decisions. I take a practical, delivery-focused approach and place strong value on building capable teams and delivering projects well.

What drives me is simple: empowering good people to deliver great projects.

Dasha Tarasova

As an Associate Senior Design & Project Development Manager and NZIA-registered architect, I work across a wide range of project types, including residential, multi-unit, commercial, and planned maintenance and remediation projects.

My focus is on delivering sustainable, high-quality projects that are practical, durable, and enhance community wellbeing across Aotearoa, with particular experience leading programmes of work for key clients, including Body Corporates and social housing providers.

I lead project establishment, design management, and development strategy from concept through to completion. I’m focused on buildable, cost-efficient, and robust design, with a strong emphasis on weathertightness, and take a disciplined, collaborative approach to coordinating teams and delivering well-resolved, energy-efficient outcomes.

My experience spans the full project lifecycle, including feasibility, cost planning, procurement, contract administration, and financial reporting.

I hold qualifications in Quantity Surveying and Construction Management and am a member of RICS, NZIQS, and the New Zealand Institute of Building.

Whitney Syverston

I work across both people and culture, business operations, and project delivery, helping support our team, our clients, and the smooth running of PJM.

As Office Manager – People and Culture, I lead our people and culture function and play a key role across business operations, recruitment and onboarding, marketing, bid support, Health & Safety, and compliance. My focus is on creating a well-organised, supportive, and positive working environment, so our team is set up to do their best work and our clients receive a consistently high level of service.

Alongside this, I also support project delivery in a Project Management role, with strengths in reporting, financial management, stakeholder communication, and project systems. This allows me to stay closely connected to how our projects run day-to-day and helps ensure they are well supported, well administered, and well communicated.

I’m known for my calm, organised, and dependable approach, and I take pride in looking after our people, supporting our projects, and helping PJM operate smoothly and professionally.

Giridhar Venkatesh

My background spans client-side, main-contractor, and regulatory roles across civil infrastructure, multi-unit residential, and commercial construction. This experience has given me a strong foundation in project leadership, delivery, and stakeholder management, and shaped my belief that great projects are built on good planning, clear communication, and teamwork.

I began my career as a Building Control Technician and Building Surveyor at Auckland Council, where I gained strong regulatory insight and built great industry relationships. More recently, I’ve enjoyed leading complex projects as a Senior Project Manager, responsible for construction planning, trade procurement, on-site coordination, and Health & Safety.

With over 10 years’ experience, a degree in Engineering, and a Master’s in Construction Management, I bring a calm, collaborative leadership style and a strong focus on delivering well-run, successful projects.

Rohil Lal

I am a project manager with over 10 years’ experience across commercial, retail, multi-unit residential, social housing and government projects, including Kāinga Ora and the Ministry of Education.

Having worked my way up to Operations Manager within a construction business, I bring a strong, hands-on understanding of the full project lifecycle, from feasibility and estimating through to delivery, defects, and stakeholder management.

I enjoy working in collaborative teams and building trusted relationships with clients, consultants and contractors. I’m practical, calm under pressure, and focused on delivering well-run, well-communicated projects with the right outcomes for clients.

I hold a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Finance, a Diploma in Construction Management (Quantity Surveying), and I am currently completing my PMP certification.

I am passionate about finding solutions and delivering successful project outcomes.

Parneet Kaur

My strengths include cost estimating, tender evaluation, trade letting, variation and claim management, reporting, and programme coordination. I also work closely with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to support clear communication and smooth project delivery.

I value accuracy, organisation, and teamwork, and I enjoy being part of projects where good collaboration and clear processes make a real difference to outcomes.

I hold a Diploma in Construction (Quantity Surveying) and am an Affiliate member of NZIQS.

Jenni Frost

I work across accounts and office administration, helping keep the business running smoothly, organised, and well supported.

In my accounts role, I manage invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, and financial tracking using Xero, and support the team with accurate, timely financial information. I take pride in keeping the numbers tidy, systems running well, and the financial side of the business reliable and well organised.

Alongside this, I look after day-to-day office administration, supporting the team with documentation, systems, correspondence, and general coordination.

I focus on creating structure and keeping things organised so the wider team can stay focused on delivering projects.

Benny the Corgi

Hello, I’m Benny — PJM’s Head of Pup-Lick Relations.

My very important job is making sure the team stays motivated and that everyone hits their daily targets for belly rubs (and treats, obviously).

When I’m not busy overseeing the team or giving our Project Managers paw-sitive pep talks, you’ll usually find me wandering around the office making sure I’ve received ear scratches from absolutely everyone.

Being vertically challenged doesn’t hold me back. I’ve discovered I’m the paw-fect size to sneak under desks in search of hard-to-reach snacks and to make sure no one’s lunch goes uninspected.

Outside of work, I enjoy the simple things in life: long naps, digging holes at the beach (which may or may not be deep enough to start a new construction project), and going for walks.

"The team at PJM are trusted partners, providing high-quality project management, design input, review and quantity surveying services."
