Our Team

Paul Miller

As Founding Director of PJM, I lead the business with a focus on strategy, client relationships, team leadership, governance, and maintaining the delivery standards that underpin our work.

I have over 25 years’ experience across commercial, residential, remediation, and multi-unit projects, and hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management. My background spans development management, Engineer-to-Contract, contract management, project governance, and commercial/risk oversight.

My role is to help clients and teams navigate complexity, make clear decisions, and set projects up for success. I take a practical, delivery-focused approach and place strong value on building capable teams, strong systems, and trusted client relationships.

What drives me is simple: empowering good people to deliver great projects.

Andrew Whatling

As Projects Delivery Lead at PJM, I bring over 20 years’ experience across commercial construction, structural upgrades, remediation, and complex building delivery in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

I hold a B.Sc. (Hons) in Building Management and bring senior experience from both main contracting and client-side consultancy. This gives me a clear understanding of how to set projects up well, manage risk early, coordinate teams, and maintain control through delivery.

At PJM, I provide senior delivery leadership, strengthen delivery systems, support project teams, and help clients make clear, confident decisions around cost, programme, methodology, buildability, and risk.

I enjoy bringing structure, momentum, and practical leadership to challenging projects, particularly where strong coordination, stakeholder confidence, and disciplined delivery are critical.

Whitney Syverston

I work across people and culture, business operations, and project delivery, helping support our team, our clients, and the smooth running of PJM.

As Office Manager – People and Culture, I lead our people and culture function and support business operations, recruitment and onboarding, marketing, bid support, Health & Safety, and compliance. My focus is on creating a well-organised, supportive, and positive working environment so our team can do their best work and our clients receive a consistently high level of service.

Alongside this, I support project delivery in a Project Management role, with strengths in reporting, financial management, stakeholder communication, and project systems.

I’m known for my calm, organised, and dependable approach, and take pride in supporting our people, our projects, and the professional operation of PJM.

Callum Fougere

I’m a Senior Quantity Surveyor with over 10 years’ experience supporting project delivery across residential, commercial, civil, and government sectors, with experience across both main contracting and client-side consultancy.

My experience spans the full project lifecycle, including project feasibility, cost planning, procurement, contract administration, financial reporting, and project management. This gives me a practical understanding of how projects are planned, priced, managed, and delivered from both commercial and delivery perspectives.

I bring clarity and discipline to project financial management, helping clients and project teams make sound decisions, test feasibility early, and maintain strong cost control through delivery.

I hold qualifications in Quantity Surveying and Construction Management and am a member of RICS, NZIQS, and the New Zealand Institute of Building.

Dasha Tarasova

As an Associate Senior Design & Project Development Manager and NZIA-registered architect, I work across a wide range of project types, including residential, multi-unit, commercial, and planned maintenance and remediation projects.

My focus is on delivering sustainable, high-quality projects that are practical, durable, and enhance community wellbeing across Aotearoa, with particular experience leading programmes of work for key clients, including Body Corporates and social housing providers.

I lead project establishment, design management, and development strategy from concept through to completion. I’m focused on buildable, cost-efficient, and robust design, with a strong emphasis on weathertightness, and take a disciplined, collaborative approach to coordinating teams and delivering well-resolved, energy-efficient outcomes.

Rohil Lal

I am a project manager with over 10 years’ experience across commercial, retail, multi-unit residential, social housing, and government projects, including Kāinga Ora and Ministry of Education work.

Having progressed to Operations Manager within a construction business, I bring a hands-on understanding of the full project lifecycle, from feasibility and estimating through to delivery, defects, and stakeholder management.

I enjoy working in collaborative teams and building trusted relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors. I’m practical, calm under pressure, and focused on delivering well-run, well-communicated projects with strong client outcomes.

I hold a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Finance, a Diploma in Construction Management Quantity Surveying, and PMP certification.

I am passionate about finding solutions and delivering successful project outcomes.

Giridhar Venkatesh

My background spans client-side, main-contractor, and regulatory roles across civil infrastructure, multi-unit residential, and commercial construction. This has given me a strong foundation in project leadership, delivery, and stakeholder management, and shaped my belief that great projects are built on good planning, clear communication, and teamwork.

I began my career as a Building Control Technician and Building Surveyor at Auckland Council, gaining strong regulatory insight and valuable industry relationships. More recently, I’ve led complex projects as a Senior Project Manager, responsible for construction planning, trade procurement, on-site coordination, and Health & Safety.

With over 10 years’ experience, a degree in Engineering, and a Master’s in Construction Management, I bring a calm, collaborative leadership style and a strong focus on delivering well-run, successful projects.

Parneet Kaur

My role spans both Quantity Surveying and Project Management, working as a Quantity Surveyor and Assistant Project Manager across multi-unit residential, community housing, commercial, remediation, and planned maintenance projects.

My strengths include cost estimating, tender evaluation, trade letting, variation and claim management, reporting, and programme coordination. I also work closely with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to support clear communication and smooth project delivery.

I value accuracy, organisation, and teamwork, and I enjoy being part of projects where good collaboration and clear processes make a real difference to outcomes.

I hold a Diploma in Construction (Quantity Surveying) and am an Affiliate member of NZIQS.

Jenni Frost

I work across accounts and office administration, helping keep the business running smoothly, organised, and well supported.

In my accounts role, I manage invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, and financial tracking using Xero, and support the team with accurate, timely financial information. I take pride in keeping the numbers tidy, systems running well, and the financial side of the business reliable and well organised.

Alongside this, I look after day-to-day office administration, supporting the team with documentation, systems, correspondence, and general coordination.

I focus on creating structure and keeping things organised so the wider team can stay focused on delivering projects.

Benny the Corgi

Hello, I’m Benny — PJM’s Head of Pup-Lick Relations.

My very important job is making sure the team stays motivated and that everyone hits their daily targets for belly rubs (and treats, obviously).

When I’m not busy overseeing the team or giving our Project Managers paw-sitive pep talks, you’ll usually find me wandering around the office making sure I’ve received ear scratches from absolutely everyone.

Being vertically challenged doesn’t hold me back. I’ve discovered I’m the paw-fect size to sneak under desks in search of hard-to-reach snacks and to make sure no one’s lunch goes uninspected.

Outside of work, I enjoy the simple things in life: long naps, digging holes at the beach (which may or may not be deep enough to start a new construction project), and going for walks.

"The team at PJM are trusted partners, providing high-quality project management, design input, review and quantity surveying services."
