Te Kauwhata – New World Supermarket

PJM provided project management and contract administration services to deliver the New World Te Kauwhata supermarket, one of the first iterations of a smaller format supermarket concept.

Designed by Wingate Architects, this new approach to supermarket design was led by prioritising the human experience. Their response was the creation of a marketplace atmosphere, with a strong sense of community and interaction. The marketplace typology is accentuated by using contrasting materials and volumes, and natural and authentic materials to create a more human environment.

New World Te Kauwhata provides the quality of design that reflects the Foodstuffs brand quality, while creating a convenient and enjoyable experience.
