Genesis Energy – Corporate Workplace

PJM has worked with Genesis Energy across a number of projects since 2013, including the Greenlane Corporate Office (2013), Hamilton Bryce Street Call Centre (2018), and most recently the head office relocation to 155 Fanshawe Street.

The 155 Fanshawe Street project involved the relocation and fit-out of Genesis Energy’s new head office, delivering approximately 3,600 sqm of flexible workplace accommodating around 270 staff. The new environment represented a significant shift from traditional, cubicle-based office layouts to a more open, collaborative, and flexible working model aligned with Genesis’ evolving workplace strategy.

The project required careful coordination of both the relocation and the integrated fit-out programme, with a strong focus on creating a workplace that reflected Genesis’ culture, brand, and ways of working, while also meeting operational, programme, and commercial objectives.

As New Zealand’s largest energy retailer, sustainability and energy efficiency were key drivers for the project. The new workplace was designed to meet high environmental performance standards and comply with NABERSNZ requirements.

PJM provided Project Management, Client Representative, and Risk Management services across the project, leading delivery from planning through to completion and ensuring the project was delivered on time and on budget.

The result is a high-quality, flexible workplace that supports Genesis Energy’s people, culture, and future ways of working.
